Vincotto Originale, literally translated as "cooked wine", is derived from cooking the musts, the pulped grapes of Negroamaro and Malavasia grapes, which have been left to wither on the vines for 30 days. After cooking, the grape must is reduced to one-fifth of its original volume and left to age in oak barrels for up to 4 years. The flavor is uniquely sweet and sour. Vincotto Originale is alcohol free and has no colorings or preservatives. Vincotto Originale is sweet and is great simply drizzled over meats, sauces, soups, fruits, salads, ice-cream and other desserts. Like drops on Mascarpone, or with fresh or grilled peaches or pears.
Food combinations: you can drizzled the Vincotto originale over any foods: grilled duck (or steak) breast, fish, lobster, soups, vegetables, salads, ice cream, pannacotta, cakes.
Ingredients: cooked grape must.
