De Cecco's only selects the best durum wheat which guarantees a greater firmness of the pasta whilst cooking. Kneaded with cold water (under 15 degrees C), that assures a sweeter taste and a better firmness during cooking.
Use 6 quarts of water per 1 lb of pasta. Bring water to a boil and add a pinch of salt and the pasta. Stir from time to time. Cook for 10-12 minutes, drain and season. Store in a cool dry place.
The spaghetti noodles were so good. I didn't know if I would be able to tell the difference between the spaghetti pasta #12, and Barilla or Ronco, but I could. It is lighter in color; and it cooks up very tender.
