Paccheri are a typical pasta from the Campania region. The name comes from "paccarià" which in Neapolitan dialect means "slap". Probably in popular tradition it was a reference to the large, heavy consistency. This pasta is popular in other regions as well, albeit with different names.
It is recommended for preparing pasta dishes served with dense, hearty meat ragùs such as Neapolitan ragù which works its way inside the pasta and fills it with flavour.
Alternatively, it can be enjoyed in oven-baked dishes with cheese and tomato sauce or rich fish sauces.

Love the texture of the paccheri pasta. Holds up well with heavier meat sauces
I was delighted to receive the pasta without one piece being broken. It was delicious, as well!
This pasta with their 4 cheese sauce was so good, I ate it for three consecutive days. It held the sauce as advertised and though I prefer my pasta cooked longer than al dente, once I dumped the cooked pasta in the sauce pot and cooked it for a couple minutes longer it was excellent. I will order this again.
Very good pasta and I recommend it
I am from Napoli and living in NC (for now)! Love the De Cecco pasta and the paccheri are delicious with any kind of sauce and they still have a nice al dente texture that I like
