Panforte bases its roots in the most ancient Tuscan tradition, its name is in fact born from the “Panmelato“, a cake that was prepared until the 10th century. The original recipe was embellished when the “Speziali”, ancient pharmacists, added precious spices from the East. Whole sweet almonds, orange peel, melon and candied citron blend to give life to a unique dough that still today is made by hand to guarantee its authentic taste.
Ingredients: Candied orange peels, melon and citron 39% (orange peel, melon and citron, glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator: citric acid, preservative: sulphur dioxide), wheat flour, sugar, almonds 14%, glucose-fructose syrup, icing sugar 2.9% (sugar, cornstarch), starch wafers (potato starch, water), spice mix 0.3%. May contain soy and other nuts.
