Yeast for cake by Paneangeli is for sure, one of the most important ingredients that you will need use to create your distinctive cake. Basically, it is a leavening agent mixed with the vanilla aroma. Created almost 90 years ago in Genova, the Paneangeli company has maintained the original recipe and the traditional turquoise packaging, featuring two little angels passing each other a cake.

You can find their creations in every Italian supermarket, next to the baking products. On the other hand, you can purchase Italian baking products and many other authentic Italian foods at our online grocery store; literally a piece of cake! (Pun intended)

Making bread of angels cake will be a pleasant and delicious journey. Be sure to follow-up on our suggestions and instructions. Ready and hungry? Ok, let’s start with our “celestial” recipe.

You can save this recipe in your cookbook under the title: Easy-to-make cakes. The whole preparation will take you just 40 minutes with 12 servings for your friends and cake aficionados.

Structure (Tips):

Fined grained baking sugar will help keep your bread of angels cake moist and soft. In combo with other ingredients, baking sugar will maintain your cake’s volume and density.

So please take note: The more granulated the sugar is, the lighter and more tender your cake will be.

The 3 whole eggs are the co-protagonists of our recipe. They play an important role, creating structure and stability, acting especially as glue.

Using the whole egg, you reap the benefits of having both the white and yolk which contain nutritious properties and various necessary proteins. In fact, the whole egg becomes a binding agent: it enhances tenderness and makes for a lighter texture to your cake.

If you want that your bread of angels cake to have a soft feel to it, you need to use the right flour. We suggest you use Italian 00 flour.

Made with soft wheat, this fine-grained flour will result in a soft and smoothly baked cake. This cake can be enjoyed at breakfast, during a coffee fiesta or simply because you want to have your cake and eat it too.
